Update on TCI XPS Demerger & Next Stock

TCI XPS Demerger

Company has filed the petition in High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad during the last week of March and court has granted hearing date on June 06, 2016. Hopefully company will get approval verdict on given date and record date of demerger will be announced before end of June.

Delay from court is common and nothing to worry about it. We have seen similar issue in recent demerger of Crompton Greaves Limited (CG) and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited (CGCEL).

If any correction before record date should be taken as good opportunity to add more. From 1 April both companies (TCI & XPS) are operating separately and recently TCI has announced  about setup of subsidiary company 'TCI Bangladesh Limited' in Bangladesh. TCI is trying to expand its remaining business aggressively so that revenue loss due to demerger of XPS can be compensated in coming quarters.

In the  series of 'Best Stock Picks' next stock will be posted before  08.05.2016. There will not be any clue to guess the stock.

Company has extremely strong fundamental business with fair possibility of huge turnaround. It hold market leadership position (monopoly) in its business segment in India.

Stock is providing very good investment opportunity for short term as well as for long term.

  1. Dear Maam,

Thank you for the updates. Much appreciated !

Do you believe in Graham style of investing where it is suggested to buy any stock so cheap that there is always head room for price appreciation. Or would you buy a high P/E stock also if the situation is looking favorable in terms of future growth.

    Replies
    1. Mostly prefer to buy at lower level at low P/E stocks.

  5. Hello Mam,

You don't need to publish this, if you don't prefer.

I had been following your site from couple of months only. However I did go through you previous articles and some interesting talk on the internet about who you are etc.

I don't have any words to appreciate you profound knowledge, having said I am sure there are many individuals who could have far great knowledge than you do. But still I personally think you are best of human beings, who is trying to help others (whom you hardly know) make money, without expecting anything in return.

I would like to say your blog and advice is great service to common man of this country.

I wholeheartedly wish that god bless you all the time.

    Thanks you

Substantial aquisition & take over regulation ( SAST) means only " Buy " or it covers "sell , Pledge "also.
Likewise for "Pledge" of shares is there any other regulations or it covers in the SAST itself

  20. MAdam,

If equity base is lesser , Then easy to push the price upward - The same way down ward also applicable.
Still then why low equity base is prefered ? For dividend reason ?

    Please throw some light madam

    Thanx

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Expansion of equity base should happen with rise in stock price and market capital to increase the liquidity of share.

Stock price depend upon EPS and dividend.

  21. Dear Mam, understand you have been accumulating speciality chemical stocks from last few months. But the same you are not recommending in this blog. Any particular reason please.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Most of the stocks are already moved up sharply during last month. It is better to avoid chasing any stock at higher price. Few month ago Vishnu chem was trading below 200 and Thirumalai chem was below 150 that was best time to add it. Market will always provide good opportunity to buy good stocks at lower level but need courage to add in heavy falling market.
